I finally succumbed to the 'shredded vest' Idea and made my own. Bought some basic mens vests and spent about 4 hours in total shredding through the whole of the back! Here is the result.. Not sure whether it hangs down a bit too far at the back and looks a bit over done? (Im wearing it back to front in the second pic to show it a bit better) your opinions on a better design would be appreciated as I have one vest left to play with!! x
Hey, this looks really cool! I just finished a t-shirt in the same style and it's pretty crazy... i have to wear an underlayer or else it exposes everything, hahaha! The shirt I used was a bit longer though so it sort of looks like a minidress

Hi everyone, I dont know if you guys check back for replies here but here are some!!
ReplyDeleteFor everyone who wants to know how its done, i use the tutorial on childhood flames - a link to the site can be found in my reading list.
I followed the tutorial pretty much exactly, just went all the way along the bottom rather than doing one strip. Also, make sure you find a good 100% cotton top to start with - avoid anything with elastane in it as the effect will not be the same!!!
